Is Christ Enough?

There are many pitfalls that await us on the path to following Christ. In last Sunday’s text, Paul addressed specific obstacles (philosophy, empty deceit, human tradition, etc.) that take our focus away from Christ (2:6-10) while also making the case that Christ is wholly sufficient for us (2:11-15). In this Sunday’s passage (2:16-23), Paul builds upon the previous section by confronting imitations that seem good—even spiritual—but will ultimately distract us from Christ.
