Have you ever gone swimming at a new pool? You walk in the gate and look around. Everyone seems to be having a great time. Some are sitting in chairs on the sidelines, watching. But it's a beautiful sunny day. And the ones who are having the most fun are actually in the water. They are swimming, laughing, splashing, jumping and diving. No one there is perfect. If they were they would be diving in the Olympics! So why did they come? Why are all these people at the pool? They came to swim. To jump in and swim with friends.

A church can be a lot like that pool. Why do you go to church? Why does anyone? Do we go so we can sit on the sidelines and watch?
Maybe at first. Maybe we watch and become comfortable... for a little while. But if we stay on the sidelines, in the deck chair, we'll never become a better swimmer. It's tough to build relationships when we are only watching from a distance. Getting connected means taking that first step... or leap! The pool is kind of big, so finding just what you are looking for can take a little time. Search through these pages about Life at Grace and Spiritual Growth. See what part of the pool looks cool and inviting to you today.

The reality is that true connections, real relationships begin once you've walked in, stepped in or taken the plunge!
